Linda is survived by her husband Dr. Nashaat Rizk, to whom she was joined in marriage for 23 years and by her daughters, Sarah, Maggie and Hannah Rizk, siblings, Janine (Don) Andrews, Shirley, MA, Ken (Brenda) Steeves, Billerica, MA, John Steeves, Woburn, MA, and Karen (Jim) Chapley, Eagan, MN and Aunt and Uncle, Helen and John O'Neil of Woburn, MA.
Linda (Steeves) Rizk, of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Woburn, MA, precious wife, devoted mother, loving sister, dear niece, adored aunt, cousin and amazing friend to all who knew her, was called Home, to her Heavenly Father, and into the open arms of her loving parents on April 21, 2017. With her devoted husband, Nashaat, and family holding vigil, Linda passed peacefully after fighting courageously and living graciously through a 19 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Framingham, MA, to parents Joseph and Margaret (McDonald) Steeves of Marlboro, MA, Linda was the youngest of five children and the pride and joy of her Aunt Helen and Uncle John O'Neil who lovingly raised her from the age of three, after the loss of both her parents. Linda grew up in Woburn, MA, and attended St. Charles school and graduated from Woburn Senior High School in 1985. Throughout her high school years Linda worked at Choate Hospital in environmental services and later as a ward clerk. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and was a member of the Xi Delta Sorority. After graduation, she worked at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ, where she met her future husband Dr. Nashaat Rizk. They married in 1994 and moved for a short time to Mobile, AL where they welcomed their first daughter, Sarah. In 1997, they settled in the charming Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA, where they remained and raised their three beautiful girls. Linda adored children and worked at Shadyside Presbyterian Church Nursery School as a teacher’s aide. It was her greatest vocation to be a mother and she spent her time raising her family, volunteering at her children’s schools and in the community. Linda was an active member of both St. Bede Catholic Church and St. Mary's Coptic Church where she had many friends who welcomed her into their community.

So very sad to hear this news. I had the pleasure of working with Linda at the Choate Hospital and the honor of calling her my friend. My deepest sympathies go out to Nash, the girls and the whole family.
