
James I. Bogati, 63, of Harmony Twp., passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 , in Heritage Valley Sewickley, surrounded by his loving family after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Born October 1, 1953, in Sewickley, he was the eldest son of the late Joseph Bogati and Marguerite Pawkovich. He served in the United States Navy as a member of the Seabees stationed in Antarctica.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Ralph and Genevieve Spinosi.
Surviving is his devoted wife of 38 years. Georgian (Spinosi) Bogati, a brother, Kurt (Lynn) Bogati of Hopewell, two sons and a daughter-in-law, James Bogati II, Harmony Twp., Joseph (Kimberly) Bogati , Economy; three grandchildren, Cole, Genevieve, Josiane, two brother-in-laws, Joe Spinosi ,Clearwater, FL, John (Shirley) Spinosi , Hopewell; a life-long best friend, Joe Selley of Ambridge; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends will be received on Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the KASPER-HAHN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 547 Eighth Street, Ambridge, PA 15003, (724) 266-2549.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10am, officiated by Pastor Jill McGregor, at the funeral home. Inurnment with military honors will follow at Economy Cemetery.
