God took her by the hand and eased the pain and lead her to the gates of Heaven for eternal life.
Helen Vawerchak Rudakewich, 89 of Ambridge, PA., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Friendship Ridge, Beaver, PA.
Helen was born on October 23, 1925 in Arnold PA. Helen was the daughter of the late Demetrius and Anna (Dubranski) Vawerchak. A graduate of Arnold High School, class of 1944. She worked until she was married for Alcoha Aluminum for 7 years before marrying Edward Rudakewich in 1955 and moved to Ambridge, PA and became a devoted housewife raising 3 children. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukranian Catholic Church of Ambridge. She was also a member of the Marion Mothers Guild and enjoyed visiting shut-ins.
She was the most sweetest, kindest caring person imaginable, her stature might have been short but her heart was bigger than life.
Her favorite hobbies were family, friends, church activities, traveling, sewing & cooking. Her favorite song was Amazing Grace.
Preceding her in death besides her parents were her husband of 62 years Edward Rudakewich on June 23, 201; Sisters Ann Wardoclip, Stella Wardoclip; Brother John Vawerchak.
She is survived by her son Richard Rudakewuich at home who cared and gave his love and compassion to Helen for many years in her time of need. Mother of: Elaine (Anthony) Stagg, Mission, Viejo, CA, Barbara (Dennis) McLaughlin, Las Vegas, NV. Many loving nieces and nephews, and cousins.
We want to give a special thank you to Betty and Brent Sutton, who went above and beyond their kindness and compassion. Also the staff at Gentiva Hospice for all the love and care given to Helen. Katie, Melissa, Michell, Mike, Amanda, and Beth.
Now that you have joined your loving husband the bond is complete. Helen is at peace once again. Rest in peace Mom, you deserve it. We miss and love you forever. God Bless.
The Marian Guild of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church will recite a rosary on Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Economy Borough.
