Ernest “Dutch” Davidson, 76, formerly of Ambridge, passed away on October 19, 2017, in Melbourne, Fla.
Dutch was a 50-year member of the Iron Workers Union Local No. 3 in Pittsburgh and had served in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Josephine Davidson. Dutch will be sadly missed by his loving son, Tony (Tracy) Davidson; his grandsons, Zachary, Alexander and Jacob Davidson of Melbourne, Fla.; his sister, Pat (Donald) Gunther of Ambridge; his niece, Tricia (Craig) Galupi, and nephew, Don (Jenelle) Gunther of Baden. Dutch is also survived by his two special cousins, Linda (Brian) Ball of California and Raymond (Teri) Bachor of Indiana, as well as many other cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Good Samaritan Church, Thursday, November 9, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends will meet at church at 11 a.m. ![]() Carol was always a hard worker and never hesitated to help others. She was the proud owner of the “Tanning Depot” in Baden, She will always be remembered as being the life of the party, and she could always light up a room with her smile. Carol found strength in God and was born again into her new life with Christ in April. She adored her grandchildren and was affectionately known as “GiGi.” She will be sadly missed by all that came into contact with her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Sophie Szwab. She is survived by her mother, Marcia Miller, Ambridge; her husband, Chris Stewart, Ambridge; her children, Ian (Stephanie) Stewart, Rochester; Tyler (Justin) Adams, Mars; Maximillian Stewart, Ambridge; and Evan Stewart, Ambridge; grandchildren, Camia and Tia Adams; two brothers, Michael (Trish) Miller, Virginia and Jonathon (Dawn) Lindgren, Ambridge; and many many friends. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 t 8 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the KASPER-HAHN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 547 Eighth Street, Ambridge, (724) 266-2549. Family request an act of kindness in memory of Ted. Dan “Dante D’Cocochi” Couch, 87, of Baden, passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. He was the son of the late Daniel Couch and Anna (Jakse) Couch.He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy for four years. Dan enjoyed all sports including being a golden gloves boxer for the U.S. Navy. His true passion was his dedication to student athletes, he served as the strength conditioning coach for over 37 years, starting at J.O. Johnson High school, in Huntsville, Alabama, Aliquippa School District for two years, then moved on to Ambridge School District, assisting head coach Frank Antonini until he retired in 2010. Dan was educated at Triangle Tech, University of Alabama, and Penn State University. He worked 25 years as an engineer for The Aerospace Industry. All those who knew Dan knew what a hardcore football fan he was. Dan was the ultimate sports encyclopedia especially when it came to his beloved Penn State Nittany Lions. Dan was a legendary dancer known for being fast and light on his feet and also greatly enjoyed singing Karaoke with his many music loving friends in the last years of his life. He will be fondly missed among everyone he came in contact with.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Gay Couch; a son, Paul Desmond Couch; two brothers, Richard Couch Ron Couch; uncles, Joseph Jakse, Alvin Jakse, Frank Jakse, Fred Couch, Harry Couch and Joseph Couch. Surviving are two daughters, Shannon Couch, Pensacola, Florida, who cared for her father during his last days, and Martina (David) Mariani-Estep, Toney, Alabama; one grandson who he adored, Tristan Dante Mariani; a brother, Don (Mary Ann) Couch, Rochester; one cousin, Helen (Jim) Mutchler, and nephews, Ron (Megan) Couch Jr. and Don (Lori) Couch Jr. |
