John was born in Sewickley on March 16, 1954 to the late Frank and Nellie Wojtarowicz. He was a 1972 graduate of Quaker Valley, and served in the US Army during Vietnam. John was a believer of the Catholic faith. He was an avid musician, played bass guitar, and enjoyed vintage tube-type electronics, his personal favorite being the 6L6. He was a fan of science fiction, particularly Star Trek. John was employed by Estenson Logistics/Prime Source in Leetsdale.
John is survived by Maggie, his wife of 39 years; his daughter Casey; granddaughters Ivy and Valerie; Mike (brother) and wife Pam; Sis (sister) and husband Wal; brother-in-law Keith; long-time friends Sharan and John Stark; and loving family; Karrie, Matt, Nellie, and Layne; Katie, Mike, Violet, Abel and Annie; Mallory and Phebe; Emily, Nic and Claire; and Mystik.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Kasper-Hahn Funeral Home at 547 8th Street, Ambridge. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd. Bridgeville 15017. Afterwards, family and friends are invited to a celebration of John's life at Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, 4128 Rt 51, Aliquippa.
