Virginia M. Zbrzezny Ambridge Virginia M. Zbrzezny, 101, of Ambridge, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Concordia Villa St. Joseph, Baden. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Maruca) Campisino. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Zbrzezny. Virginia is survived by her sons, Joe Zbrzezny and Jim (Florinda) Zbrzezny; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Bertha M. Domenico, 80, of Ambridge passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 7, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Lesondak. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving daughter Lea Salvati.
Bert worked at St. Clair Hospital for 35 years, enjoyed baking, cross-stitch, bingo and making pierogies. She is survived by her children, Gina Domenico of Ambridge, Cara (James) Ebel Lebanon, Ohio and Michael (Kathleen) Domenico, Economy, Son in law- Tim Salvati, her grandchildren, David, Michael, Patrick, Mark, Selena, Christopher, Tyler, Madison, Raegan, McKenna. Brother, Gene (Peggy) Lesondak, Niece of, Dorothy Jezewski, and her faithful companions, Stella and Bella. Kouvaras, Sr., 74, formerly of Ambridge, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2020, at Quality Life Services in Chicora, Pa. He was the son of the late Nick and Georgia Kouvaras. John was raised in Ambridge with his brothers and his sister. He attended Ambridge High School and worked in both the steel industry and as a carpenter with Ryan Homes. He settled and raised his family in Cranberry Township before retiring to Chicora, Pa., where he enjoyed his small farm with his loving wife Judy. He enjoyed hunting with his grandchildren, being outdoors, raising chickens and lambs, and spending time with his great-grandchildren. He was a lifelong member of the Ambridge Sportsman’s Club and was a 32nd Degree Mason at the Masonic Lodge 701 in Ambridge. John was known by many simply as “The Greek” and was very proud of his Greek heritage. He had a quick and witty sense of humor, a strong presence that commanded a room and a soft side for his wife and family. John leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Judith E. Kouvaras; son, John N. Kouvaras Jr.; and daughters, Georgia M. (Terry) Glass and Alexandra M. (Kenneth) Chiappini. He is also survived by his siblings, James Kouvaras of Clearwater, Fla.; Anthony Kouvaras of Poland, Ohio; and Christina (Kouvaras) Gulish of Ambridge, Pa.; and his beloved seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the KASPER-HAHN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 547 Eighth Street, Ambridge, (724-266-2549), were a Trisagion service will be held at 5 p.m. followed by a Masonic Service at 6 p.m. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 2930 Beaver Road, Ambridge. Formerly of Ambridge Paul Raymond Kasper, 54, formerly of Ambridge, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, in Jacksonville Beach, Fla. He was born June 30, 1965, in Sewickley, Pa. He was a graduate of Ambridge High School, attended Penn State University and Duquesne University earning his Master Degree in the Physician's Assistant Program. He was employed for over 25 years as a physician assistant at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Paul was a caring loving friend to everyone. Paul is survived by his mother, Margaret Kasper; brother, John Robert "JR" Kasper; aunt and uncle, Agnes and Pete Krawchyk; special cousins, Roseann and Al Sprinkles; close friend, Laura Bain; many cousins, and his faithful companion "Bandit." He was predeceased by his father, Walter R. Kasper. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2020, at the KASPER-HAHN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 547 Eighth Street, Ambridge, (724-266-2549), where a service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be in Paul's honor to a charity of one's choice. |
